Excerpts from BeingKind - A Brave New Race by Linda G Palma
A new batch of superior beings had just been hatched and abruptly awakened to a divergent reality. Two newborns kicked at each other as they lay side by side. Atomic opened his eyes for the first time. His eyes of intrigue followed the stream of light that entered from a window and settled upon his inquisitive sister lying beside him. Aurora squinted as she stared into his eyes. Her eyes opened wider as the sun reflected the brilliance of lavender hues. Aurora reached over to hold Atomic’s hand; she smiled at him and cooed. Atomic held onto her small hand as she squeezed with tremendous might. Her tight grip would not let go as the technicians tried to take their vitals. Aurora and Atomic cried as they were harshly separated from one another. A world of possibilities was before them, and Aurora seemed to know what she wanted. The introduction to another being was comforting for her; their bond would grow stronger as the annuals would pass. Could this bond of courage and intrigue one day create turbulence to their new and changing world?

today's world

In our current milieu, I find myself referring back to my novel where we can learn much during these crucial crossroads of our life. Quotes from BeingKind - A Brave New Race:  "Race!"  There was fire in my sister’s eyes. “After all, what does race truly mean? Our government uses this term to acknowledge hatred. Their contradictions reflect the wrongdoings and inept thinking of the past. No genetic markers define race within a species. All of humankind should have been considered as one race. Ethnicity and the color of one’s skin should not have dictated to the segregation of diverse classifications. It is as if the humans considered their native origin to be subclasses within their species. It is a biological myth and an ignorant reference we must continue to eliminate!”
