This picture is an ammonite which is symbolic to my novel: BeingKind - A Brave New Race.
The ammonite is a transitional fossil which means it has become extinct. It represents infinity, the evolution of life, the positive energy and a connection to our past. Our ancestors have crushed and used it as a fertility supplement and it was believed to have calcium benefits.
I view this ammonite, who I call Cornelia, as our connection to our past. Its curve resembles the backbone of an embryo which we have absorbed to finally walk upright.
